CARING FOR YOUR L&L JEWELLERY

Sterling silver naturally oxidises in the air, humidity and when exposed to sweat and chemical

All gold vermeil and sterling silver will eventually tarnish.

Please note that we will not be able to offer a refund for wear and tear of your jewellery as this is not a fault in the product, but the nature of the metals.

Although our gold vermeil is plated with the thickest layer of 14 carat gold possible (2.5 micron) it will wear off over time and with high polish areas, scratches may be more visible.

To limit the above and keep your jewellery looking amazing, we recommend avoiding showering, exercising and cleaning in your jewellery.

We also recommend putting your jewellery on last when getting ready as some beauty products can cause your jewellery to discolour or tarnish.

Light tarnishing can be polished off with a jewellery polishing cloth.

Do not use a polishing agent or abrasive liquids as these will wear away the layers of the gold.

Here are a few extra tips to keeping your jewellery shiny and sparkly...

Remove your jewellery in the shower, swimming in the salty sea or a chlorinated swimming pool.

Gemstones are natural and vulnerable to absorbing dirt and chipping so be careful what you do when wearing.

Avoid spraying perfumes, applying creams and soaps directly onto your jewellery. Ideally take it off when using all products.

Don't sunbathe in your jewellery as humidity and sunlight can dull the shine.

Keep your jewellery away from extreme temperatures, humid or sunlight.

Don't wear your jewellery when using cleaning products.

Store your jewellery separately. This will stop it rubbing together and chains getting tangled.

Always polish your jewellery with a soft cloth as you don't want to cause any unnecessary scratches.

Clean your gemstones delicately with a clean, soft, damp cloth.

If you treat your jewellery with care you can enjoy wearing it looking shiny and amazing for years to come.
